Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of NarraMail, including the desktop app, the
web app at app.narramail.com and the NarraMail servers
(together, the "Service"). The Service is provided by Onyx Dev Labs
("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you use
NarraMail on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are
authorized to accept these terms for it.
1. Testing phase
NarraMail is currently in a limited testing phase, available only to the Onyx Dev Labs team and people we invite. Features may change, be incomplete or contain bugs, and we may suspend or end the testing program at any time. The Service is currently provided free of charge. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you in advance and you will not be charged unless you agree.
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 13 years old and able to form a contract.
- You sign in with a Google or Microsoft account and may connect only mailboxes that you own or are authorized to access.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your devices and sign-in credentials secure. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Google, Microsoft and other services
NarraMail works with mailboxes hosted by Google and Microsoft. Your use of those mailboxes remains subject to their terms and to any policies set by your organization's administrator. Your administrator may need to approve NarraMail before you can connect a work or school mailbox. We are not responsible for those providers' services, outages or changes to their APIs.
4. Bring-your-own-key AI
NarraMail's AI features run only with an API key you supply from an AI provider you choose. You are responsible for complying with that provider's terms and for any charges it bills you. AI output can be inaccurate; review drafts, categories and answers before relying on them. How content is sent to AI providers is described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Your content
Your email and the content you create in NarraMail remain yours. You give us permission to access, store, process and transmit that content only as needed to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not claim ownership of your content.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, phishing or malware;
- break the law, infringe others' rights, or harass, threaten or defraud anyone;
- access mailboxes or data you are not authorized to access;
- interfere with, overload, probe or reverse engineer the Service, except where the law expressly permits it; or
- use the Service in a way that would cause Onyx Dev Labs to violate Google's or Microsoft's API terms.
We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
7. Our software
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the NarraMail apps to access the Service while these terms are in effect. Onyx Dev Labs retains all rights in the Service, the apps and the NarraMail name and logo.
8. Feedback
If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using NarraMail at any time by disconnecting your mailboxes and asking us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if required by law or by Google or Microsoft, or if we end the testing program. When your access ends, we delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that messages will always sync or send. Your mail remains stored with Google or Microsoft; NarraMail is not a backup service.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Onyx Dev Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Tarrant County, Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post changes on this page and update the effective date, and we will notify you in the app or by email of material changes before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
